About Stephen Baker

Growing up on a mixed grazing farm in the heart of South East South Australia, Stephen developed his deep connection to the land and livestock was formed from an early age. Surrounded by the rhythms of rural life, he developed a strong work ethic and a practical understanding of farming systems that would go on to shape his career in agriculture.

After completing his studies in Business Management, Stephen pursued a career that has spanned various roles across the agricultural sector. With a strong foundation in livestock and farm operations, he built a reputation for his hands-on approach and commitment to industry best practices. Over the years, he has held positions in farm management, livestock procurement, and agricultural sales, gaining valuable insight into both the commercial and practical aspects of farming.

Stephen has a particular passion for livestock, especially cattle, and has worked extensively as a cattle buyer. His ability to assess livestock quality, market trends, and build long-term relationships with producers and clients alike has earned him trust and respect across the industry.

A natural communicator and strategic thinker, Stephen enjoys working with farming enterprises to improve productivity and profitability. His business acumen, combined with his on-the-ground experience, allows him to bridge the gap between operational challenges and commercial outcomes.

Now based in Adelaide, Stephen lives with his wife and two children. While his home is in the city, his heart remains in the countryside, and he continues to stay closely involved in agricultural networks and rural communities across  Australia. Whether in the paddock or the boardroom, Stephen brings dedication, integrity, and a lifelong commitment to the future of Australian agriculture.
