Molafos 15s

Base chemistry is similar to Molafos 15 (15 % protein, high in molasses, low urea and balanced minerals) but slightly less palatable and with an intake inhibitor to prevent animals from over-consuming. Best for dry land pasture in coastal or highland areas and suited to a wider class of cattle (weaners and breeders) and sheep.

What is Molafos 15s?

Molafos 15 S is a palatable supplement with 15% protein that is high in Molasses (Energy) with a low urea level and balanced minerals. It is slightly less palatable than Molafos 15.

  • Contains a blend of Inorganic and Organic Minerals for improved availability and rumen bacterial health.
  • Rain safe.

Uses

  • A dry feed / drought supplement to grazing cattle, sheep and goats on mature pasture, stubble or forage crops.
  • Fed as a production supplement starting early in a dry season while there is a good body of forage available.
  • A supplement for backgrounding cattle to get stock onto feed sooner and as a post-weaning supplement with hay and or grain for calves and lambs.
  • Can be medicated with Monensin, Lasalocid or Flavophospholipol to improve feed efficiency.
  • Has the option of increased Phosphorus levels.

Fed as a production supplement starting early in a dry season while there is a good body of forage available.

Pour into open troughs and allow cattle and sheep free access.
Feed out 3 day’s supply and do not refill until the 4th day.
Once intake has stabilised feed out 7 day’s supply and do not refill until the 8th day.
Stock may need to be supplemented with salt (especially sheep) for 1 week to appease any salt craving.
Do not feed to starving or thirsty stock.
Locate feeding stations away from water to reduce intakes and encourage grazing out.

Intakes – These products can be fed directly to livestock at recommended feeding rates:
Weaners: 0.5 to 1 kilogram / head / day
Adult Cattle: 1 to 2 kilograms / head / day
Sheep and Goats: 100 to 300 grams / head / day
1 litre Molafos = 1.32 kilograms
